Our Commitment
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has changed the delivery of healthcare services including but not limited to: major shifts in provider allowances, alternate delivery methodologies driven by financial incentives for referral sources (e.g.; Accountable Care Organizations) along with lower reimbursements and financial penalties, (e.g.; hospital readmissions), and Medicaid Managed Long Term Services are a few of the changes that the ACA has generated.
Our commitment is to level the playing field for post-acute healthcare provider members by contracting for patient referrals on the basis of changing how healthcare is provided, not just on the basis of price and geography.
MED-NET IPA IS A NETWORK OF POST-ACUTE HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS
Providing Value
As mentioned above our current health system is experiencing rapid change. Collaboration among post-acute healthcare providers is essential when negotiating with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) to participate in patient referral streams, achieve clinical quality, cost-containment, economies of scale and efficiencies.
Alignment among post-acute healthcare providers supports uniformity among clinical protocols, operational improvement, quality of care, bench-marking, monitoring and reporting. Alignment supports participation in at-risk contracts, shared savings contracts and other financial incentive arrangements. Unaligned post-acute healthcare providers risk exclusion as MCOs and ACOs align their provider networks to maximize control over quality of care, cost and outcomes.
Met-Net IPA, LLC is certified by the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance as an Organized Delivery System (ODS). Our firm Is legally permitted to manage healthcare which improves quality of care and cost-containment and MCOs and ACOs recognize the credibility and commitment of our certification as an ODS.
